EXCEPTIONAL CASK SERIES CASK #
A traditional Lord Byron Distillery ECS release. Aged for 5 years, this is a single cask rum that is bottled at cask strength - 59% abv. Only 242 bottles are available. This release picked up Silver at the Sydney Royal Spirits awards earlier this year.
Founder, Brian Restall’s Tasting notes: This rum has been bottled at a cask strength of 59% ABV for a reason... it’s a perfect balance. On the nose, it’s very enticing, with a fragrance that draws you back time and time again. I pick up notes of caramelised dates, smooth leather, and the rich sweetness of brown sugar from the molasses fermentation. The palate is a lush blend of dark chocolate, gingerbread, and treacle, offering a wonderfully complex experience. The finish is long, clean and satisfying. This drinks like a much lower abv rum. Respect it and it will respect you.
